Once upon a time, there lived a girl with handsome, boyish-cute looks. Everyone said this was a good thing, but in reality, it troubled the girl very much.

Grasping a cool coin inside her pocket, she took a deep breath, filling her lungs with the warm air she needed. A pool of salty sweat had begun to form above her upper lip. Annoyed, she quickly licked it away with a flick of her tongue.

It was a hot day, sometime in July. The air around her was moist and thick. She imagined taking a steely knife through it and it literally cutting the air into two pieces.

I think its cute - I like the use of different colors

The blue in the hair is really eyecatching and the eyes are very pretty.

Love the shades in the character, your use of color is great in this piece! I think you could blend the values even further to avoid outlines such as those around her face and nose. However, it is pretty stylized so that's just a suggestion! Nice work!

this is real nice and its good you have a background because using white can be a bad habit XI (even if its a flat color it works better then white on an image like this)
i think you could shade a little more so her features could pop out and she wont look as flat...know what i mean?

and cleaner lines so it wont look so sketchy or doodle type...noneless that what you going for lol
but with practice you will improve plenty so keep at it!! C:
